Hi, just got an email from Paul McCutcheon about thus, something about provisional results and final results being issued online to me on 12th of Feb due to a review of the Student Records System.

Is this something everyone got or is it because I did Link in modules this semester?

Thanks for your help in advance.

What exactly do they mean by provisional results? Could your grades change after the 5th, why would this be so?

Grades are checked by external examiners to ensure consistency- i.e that something awarded an A is actually A standard, and that the grade was not awarded because the lecturer likes the student, or whatever the case may be.

If it was found that a module's grades were inconsistent they would all be marked again and grades may change. Hence why they are provisional.
