The dole while working

Before I start I don't have a strong knowledge about benefits etc.

Basically I have been working part time in an IT job since September. I work Thursday evenings, Saturday and Sunday. I think I work about 21 hours on a weekly basis.

I was wondering if I am entitled to any benefit because I sm only working part time. If I am eligible for this, is it too late for me to claim. My friends said that I should have done it as early as possible. Any advice on this topic?

    Thanks

You can apply for casual jobseekers allowance which will be means tested. Even if you have an entitlement to jobseekers benefit you will not get it at this late stage as your work pattern has been 3 day week for several months and you wouldnt have any substantial loss.

I think once you work 3 days a week you won't get anything

If you work more than 3 days per week or 3 x 12 hours shifts you wont get anything.
