Directors, Cinematographers, Editors, Filmmakers & Actors!!

Kino Dublin is having a weekend Kabaret at the Fumbally Exchange (5 Dame Lane) at the end of this month on January 24th and 25th.

    What is a Kabaret?
Similar to a 48 hour film festival but you decide the content and we provide the 24 hour access base (Kino Lab). Starting on Saturday morning at 10am, pitch your idea to the group, then gather up a crew from the attendees (which consists of actors, DOPs, sound ops, editors, producers) and take to the streets of Dublin to make your film. Your film must be edited and exported by 6pm on Sunday and then will be screened along with the other films at Sweeneys on Dame Street at 8pm Sunday. Films are limited to being 6 minutes long and you must pitch them at the pitching session or alternatively you can make "quickies", which can be 90 seconds long and require no pitching.
Check out some of the films from our International Kinos on YouTube by searching "KinoDublinIreland" and and on Vimeo by searching "kinokabaret"

    Why do Kino?
Kino is an international movement started in Montreal 15 years ago and aims to create a non competitive atmosphere for filmmakers to get films made. Bringing together crew members and actors to give you the opportunity to shoot and finish a film in a weekend. Find out more about us on our Facebook page - "kinodublin"

    Registration
Registration is 15euros. Kino is a not for profit venture organised by filmmakers who love film and believe in Kino. The 15e registration covers space rental so we can have a secure space open for the entire 48 hours, any money made beyond that, goes straight back into Kino. You maintain the rights to your films and can do with them as you please as long as you display the Kino Ident, we reserve the right to request to share them on our channel (if you are aiming for festival run, we understand and will not upload anything without your consent.)

Come along, meet other filmmakers, have fun and create great short films, follow the links on our Facebook page to the registration page.

Thanks folks - see you there!
