Can anyone tell me why my attic door wont close? I have one of those fold away attic ladders. It simply wont close . There is a catch which clicks into place when you shut it using the pole provided.

Does it close flush with the frame ?
Are you sure the catch is in the open position when you are attempting to shut the door ?
Are you sure there is no obstructions in the attic space?

Thanks. Yes I have checked there is nothing blocking the space. I don't think there is an open position in my one. It usually just clicks into place. Will probably need to have it looked at . Not great this time of year with the heat going up into attic.

Those type of push pull catches go eventualy.
