    1. What is your budget? [€xxx] 800-900 roughly (but flexible)

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Basic gaming and general computing use, small bit of video editing. Our old PC is 7 years old (old Dell), been upgraded many times (graphics card/hard drives/processor/RAM) but now it seems I've reached the wall in what I can do with it that makes sense. I would like something that while I'm not interested in the latest graphics cards now has upgradability built in (guessing maybe power/motherboard/processor (more?) need to be comfortable with better graphics card that I will get now). Hard to say what gaming will be played now directly (nothing released in last 3 years anyway...for now, will upgrade graphics card later). Haven't played much in years. My son is 10 / daughter is 13 and both interested in games.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes/No] Yes

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

    5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes/No] Yes

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [19'/20'/22'/24'/etc.] 27'

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1080/1440x900/etc.] [Yes/No]

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Wireless card/card reader/DVD drive/speakers

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Yes/No] No

    8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser] Any

    9. When are you purchasing? [In x days] Next week or so

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [South Dublin City/Cork City/Kerry/etc.] Sweden!

Was thinking roughly 1TB regular hard drive, 256GB SSD (if that makes sense in terms of current pricing for SSD). I have 256GB regular hard drive and 64gb SSD currently.

Would like not to have to replace processor in the next 3 to 4 years which I guess is main lifetime of the PC so as forward compatible as possible in terms of gaming needs I guess.

If I don't have enough info or need to do something else let me know. Interested in what kind of build is recomended :)

I haven't built my own PC before but have done a decent amount of upgrading.

If I steal this build below from podriscos thread as a starting point adding in a monitor. I guess I want to add in an SSD as per my original plan. Does this seem reasonable as a gaming PC that is unlikely to face upgrading blocking issues in the future ? :)
