PVC vs Wooden Kitchen Units

    Hi,
I'm getting a new kitchen fitted in a small apt. I've been given a quote for PVC units and told the solid wood equivalent will be 800-1,000e more. The kitchen itself is only 2m x 2m.

Are PVC ok in this day and age or should I pay the extra cash?

2mx2m? That's more of a cupboard than a kitchen. Up to a grand more for such a small space seems a bit much.
