Left lights on for about 3 hours. How long should I leave it running once I get it going?

better off taking car for a drive 1/2 hour should do as it sounds like battery is good if not needing a jump start.

The Battery is dead at the moment. If and when someone else gets it going for me, should I leave engine running for a while after that and if so for how long should engine be left running.... Is it advised to drive on it straight away or is it better to leave it running for a while or what? If I manage to get it sorted I would be doing a 25-ish-minute trip straight away but doubt will get it sorted beforehand now.

Will a car started by jump-leads take a person half an hour to and from work in the morning and home tomorrow evening when work-day is done - will the jump-lead-start last until then a work-day later? I don't know anything about charging car batteries, how they run or how long they last or anything.

Once the car is running it will charge the battery. Half an hour drive as soon as it's started should have the battery fully charged and you won't have any issues starting it again.

If you're worried about it Park The car facing down a hill when you get to work and a bit of a push will get it going again but definitely shouldn't be needed
