Making a Motor Expenses claim

When filling in a claim for Revenue in respect of motor expenses relating to the use of my private car in the course of my employment (where there are ZERO expenses reimbursed by my employer) how to you calculate "Total annual running costs"?

I understand it includes motor tax, insurance, servicing, repairs but does it also include fuel - or is that calculated based on the proportion of business mileage you put down?

Also, do Revenue make a calculation as to the 'wear and tear' element themselves, or do you need to include that somewhere as well?

    Any guidance much appreciated.

It would help to give a better answer if you could outline the type of travel in your own car you're required to do? What type of job/business is it, and what type of journeys?
