I always used bobby pins flat side down and ridged side up, That's not the correct way apparently! to think of all the time i wasted fixing my hair due to the clips sliding!

Also eye cream goes on before any serum oil or face moisturiser!

I'm sure I'll think of more later, what mistakes have you made?

I keep seeing "the correct sequence of applying skin care / make up" on websites, blogs, etc. And I think that a personal preference thing (Sorry to stray from the topic, but we just discussed this with a friend irl today!).

I apply eye cream after serums, oils, etc. but before moisturiser. And that is if I apply a separate eye cream.

Also, I always apply liquids/creams, then powder products during make up. I find it weird when people apply cream products over powders. Aren't you disturbing the texture, making things cakey?

Same with the foundation/concealer. I always do foundation first. I feel like you'd just move the concealer around while applying the foundation so what is the point? But some people like to do it that way. And who am I to judge?

I can't stand the faded brow and it's been branded as a make up mistake recently. Not to be confused with the bold brow trend - I love that as I have naturally thick brows and I am suddenly very trendy for these past 2 years thanks to Cara Delevigne. But hey, if you like the faded brow, go for it. You do you. Same with the Kim K contouring - I don't like it and I've started to read stuff calling it a beauty mistake recently. But what stops you if YOU enjoy it?

So, I think with most beauty habits, everyone has their own ways, rights and wrongs. It is hard to generalise.
