Marvel's new Star Wars comic

    Anyone read the first issue yet? I picked it up yesterday and I enjoyed it immensely. It has really captured the Star Wars 'tone'. Jason Aaron's writing is sharp and lively while the artwork by John Cassaday is superb.

    It's early days of course and I say this as someone who was very sad to see Dark Horse lose the comics licence but I have a good feeling about this :)

    Just 'grabbed' a copy online,
    Really enjoyed it too, agree with your comments about tone and writing - very good all round. Looking forward to the next one.

    I see there's a Darth Vader and a Princess Leia comic starting soon too....

    Yeah, looking forward to those too. Will be interesting to see how far they go in terms of bringing in new characters, locations, etc.

    By the way, just wondering if you were a fan of the Dark Horse comics?

    Yeah, never bought or read very many though. The ones I did get were very good.
    Have a Darth Maul set where he takes on Black Sun (4 comics compiled into one book) - awesome stuff in that one.
