Question for a friend who is on disability allowance. He would like to work part time and is allowed to earn the following:

    Income from work
You can do rehabilitative work (which includes self-employment) and earn up to €120 per week (after deduction of PRSI, any pension contributions and union dues) without your payment being affected

If self employed is there PRSI and how is it calculated? Would he have to pay tax? It would have to be self employment as he cannot work every day
