Newcastle (NI) Festival of Flight 2015 - 8th Aug 2015 Airshow

    A date for the 2015 Newcastle Airshow (Festival of Flight) was announced last night by Down Festivals on their facebook page, and the Newcastle FoF facebook page posted this, this afternoon.

    Newcastle 2014 was maybe the best airshow I have ever attended.

    ***2015 HUGE NEWS***

    Last night Down Festivals revealed on their Facebook the date for the 2015 Festival of Flight. That date is Saturday 8th August 2015! So be sure to mark your calendars!

    Please note - No displaying aircraft have yet been confirmed, we do not expect any news on this until display teams/display aircraft release their schedules which usually start coming through in Feb/March.

    But the date is set! Newcastle Festival of Flight 2015 - Saturday, August 8th 2015!

    I might try head up for it but i know my calander is starting to fill up this season. Malta and RIAT for me.

    Oh no chance id be giving up enthusiast tickets for Malta. People i know in malta and germany who went to RIAT and got the weekend ticket with close access to the A/C said that RIAT was nothing like how close ya can get to them in malta.

    On the ticket at malta you are brought out to the thresh of the active runway for the arrivals days.

    Full access to the A/C on the ground at certain times during the show but full access on arrivals and departure days, meet the crews and even get beer with them.

    Best show i have been to.
