Buy It Now EBay mistake

    I was on EBay on sunday night and found an item I was looking for.The postage to Ireland was 20 quid,so (stupidly!) I hit buy it now,thinking I could change the address to Parcel Motel and save the fee.
    Obviously,I then discovered that I couldn't,and had committed to buying the item.I contacted the seller 2 minutes afterward and said that it was a mistake,and could he cancel the order.No reply.Half an hour later,I got an email from ebay saying the item had been dispatched (unpaid).I messaged the seller again,reminding him that I had asked for the sale to be cancelled,and why was it marked as dispatched (at 9.35 pm Sunday night).No reply.
    On Tuesday,I received an email from ebay asking for payment.Messaged seller again.No reply.
    The seller will take returns.
    SO,apart from paying,is there any other steps I can take?

    Get in touch with ebay support, they can see any message you sent the seller.

    I'll try that.I'm a bit rusty on ebay as I dont use it much these days!

    Maybe it has been dispatched on a Sunday. Certainly possible if a courier has been used. An order of mine from amazon was dispatched at 10pm Sunday.

    The helpful lady at eBay support has emailed the seller to get him to respond to my 3 messages,and despite getting a dispatch email,has confirmed that the goods have not been sent.
