Having a a reunion of sorts with a few lads on a Friday night in a few weeks, Lucan has come up as the most central location for all.

What would be the best pub for a few nice pints and maybe a steak sambo in the village. I'm presuming one of either Courtneys, Kennys, O'Neills or Carrolls?

    Kennys for me.
Courtneys always seems to have a bit of a younger crowd.
Carrolls - I don't like the place. Loads of bare stone and a high ceiling so it's very loud if you're looking to have a conversation.
Kennys - if you like your craft beers, you can get the barmen to serve you the beers in the off-licence!

Hubby would rate the pints in the ball alley top of the village, but you won't get your steak sambo.

Kennys is his next choice, followed by carrols and only out of desperation o'neills

No longer welcome in courtneys so won't comment on there.
