    good bull but hard calved

not suitable for heifers or young cows

His pedigree is a total outcross. I don't recognise much in his pedigree (then I'm not an oracle of the breed!) so he's a bit of an unknown.
I'd be confident enough in Bova's ability of select a decent bull so in my eyes he'd be worth a punt on cows with known calving ability.
Give them a ring and see what they'd recommend!

for what its worth most bulls in ai produce average to good calves with good breeding in their pedigree. most bulls with unknown bulls / outcross in their pedigree produce average to under average calves . only a few bulls in ai produce outstanding calves and we all know those. outcross stock bulls do not seem to produce anything either . if you can pick up an old ai book from an ai station you will see a lot of bulls that look good and promise the world but are never heard from again . from 20 years breeding charolais and using outcross bulls they do not work and you are left with heifers that are poorer then their cows ,no pedigree no bull

the biggest influence on the calf is the dam, if she has lots of problems it takes a fair bull to correct a lot of these in one service, the breeder of this bull is a noted breeder in charolles and has being for generations,in ireland most ai stations are looking for the middle of the road bull to suit all types of cow and most important sell straws, bova are very active on farm in france sourcing new bulls and there problem is the have a small amount of the market share!
the bull domcammillo that bova have we seen his dam and is a serious bit of a cow and is breeding well and daughters of his sire are impressive to see,
in france is the home of charollais and a lot to choose from and a lot of stock bulls used, what we try to do is bull the cow with what will improve her and to what market you want to sell to,

He's 13% calving difficulty at 97% on icbf so would be considered a hard calved bull. But a lot will depend on the calving ability of your cow and how she's managed pre calving.
