School Placement

I'm doing the PME in UCC and next week we have to provide a list of schools for where we would like to go next year. In terms of employment prospects, is there anything that i should be helpful for me later on such as working in a DEIS school, or a high scoring private school?

Any advice at all would be appreciated.

I went for a school that was the total opposite of the school I had attended myself; just for the different perspective and to work with a different type of student.

The school you do your placement in won't have an affect on your employment prospects.

You'll be lucky to find schools. much less particular ""types!"

Most schools give student teachers classes they envisage very few problems with, so where someone does their TP isn't much of an indication of anything.

    Subbing is another story.
