How long does it take to get registration cert?

    Hi,

    Bought a car from a franchise dealer just before Christmas, no sign of registration cert yet, NCT appointment has come through for next week (the dealer arranged this).

    Can I do the NCT without the cert? Is it normal to take so long?

    i bought a car private on 22nd of December got the reg cert on the 2nd of January I've never been asked for the cert at an NCT just my driving licence.

    Check on motortax.ie the vehicle transaction link will tell you if it has been issued and when it's posted. (site is down now)
