Toyota Diagnostics Software

    Hi guys,
    Just wondering what ye use as diagnostics software for toyotas. I have Techstream but curious to see what everyone else has and what they think is better/easier to use.

    I use techstream but I work in main dealer ;-) unless you have a vdim techstream isn't much good without it. We also have Delphi for non Toyota stuff.

    Nope I just have a cheap cable. Got it working but didnt have time to play around properly. I'll leave that until next week.

    On a side note, are the 1ndtv engines known to give egr trouble at 128k km.
    This was suggested to me but I have not had time to look into it yet. Also gonna check my fuel filter. Servicing is done every 10-15k km by mysel using genuine parts.
    Symptoms
    -down on power slightly
    -high consumption
    -slightly stronger smell from exhaust
    -occasional check engine light with no fault history stored

    Could be egr or fuel filter blockage or injector issues, when you get tech stream working, plug it in and look at data list, have a look at injector compensation when engine is cold and compare target fuel pressure to actual fuel pressure
