    i used to drink in the islander next to paddy powers, great pub. good crowd,drink, especially for sports

    The Islander has moved back to original premises on Altamount St. New owners beside Powers.

    Way back 150+ years ago was the base for the Harbour Constabulary.

    Hence the towers, kept in the renovations some years ago.
