I have an interview with Emerald Group Marketing and was wondering if anyone has had one here before or works there?

Not sure if it's just another direct sales job.

I know this is months later but I have an interview this morning and I'll give a brief summary of how it went when I'm done. I hope it isn't knocking on doors...

    so how was the interview?

just had an interview this morning, really disappointing

-they made me wait 45 min

-I dressed like a professional, business outfit because how else would you dress for an interview, arrived there to my surprise to see another 5 people waiting in line for same interview, only one was dressed formal like me,rest, very young and wearing converse and jeans /so he spent about 8 min with each candidate.
-he didn't even bother to read my cv beforehand, very unprofessional
-he avoided telling me what the job is exactly, vaguely he mentioned they do campaigns for charities, they call it FACE TO FACE sales :) but it varies from project to another but u basically on the streets looking for people.I advised I am looking for a job in an office, which he could had figured out if only would he read my cv beforehand
    -constantly throwing the advancement opportunities

need I say it again??? I will, because this was the worst interview of my life
    VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!!

with all the respect, this job would suit a young person who wants some experience for the summer, but please do not call in people that are looking for a job in an office.

I also wish to confirm that I had a similar experience in an interview this morning. The job was completely mis-advertised online, and it did not mention anything about door-to-door sales or commission-based salary upon application (this information I only found out during the interview). This was not the type of job I was looking for. The interviewer had to repeatedly look at my application form to remember my name, and I also felt that he had not looked at my CV prior to my interview.

Be careful, a job may not be what you thought it was going to be...

Haha, these chancers called me completely out of the blue, I didn't apply for anything. Think I'll pass on the interview somehow.

I was actually really irritated that they would advertise this job as something completely different. I filled out form when i came in, stuff like my name, address etc. As if my interviewer didn't see my CV. Told about being able to progress and that it is a fun office that is always so busy. The job description was not what the job was. Felt really annoyed leaving and unless you want to work in door to door don't bother with them.
