Looking for interior barn door tracks

    Hi

We are having barn doors in our new house and want to hang a sliding barn door between kitchen and sitting room. I am now desperately looking for a place where i can get a nice track for the barn door. It is one of those black ones with wheels on it that are exposed.

Anywhere in the Limerick, Kerry, Clare, Tipp area would be best, but would travel further if needed.

    Hope someone can help!
    Thanks

    Hi,

I'm assuming that this is what you're looking for (i.e. more rustic than stainless steel):

    barndoorhardware.com/

it's very hard to source (over here, or for a reasonable price!) - but this is what we used for our build

    handwerker-profishop.de/beschlag/schiebetuer-schiebetor/schiebetor/heinrich-betz-soehne-schiebetorrollle-501-d-90mm-torgewicht-max-100kg-buegel-a-flachstahl-verz/a-139252/

we got the track made up locally, very happy with the result (we didn't paint black, but nothing to stop you doing so!)

Thank you for the reply Bigreddog.
Did you order the wheels only from the german company and got the track made to measure?

They obviously deliver to Ireland, can you remember what they charged? Will have a check around that site (how lucky that i understand the lingo lol) and see if i can source somebody who could make the tracks for us. But great to know where to get the wheels for a start.

    Thank you :)

    Hi Trulla,

that's exactly what we did - shipping was 18.55.
have a browse around the site - there are a few different sizes of roller.

we also got one of these, and attached it to the floor - means that the door can't be pushed out (safer for the kids)

    handwerker-profishop.de/beschlag/schiebetuer-schiebetor/schiebetor/woelm-fuehrung-459-pl-auf-platte-galvanisch-verzinkt/a-139103/

you can find the roller measurements here (and can work out the track size from it - or just leave the roller into your local metal worker to figure it out) - the roller has an anti-lift bar, so the track has to fit above it!

    betzsoehne.de/pdf-kataloge/en/01%20Rollers%20and%20Pulleys%202012.pdf

    good luck!

Art.-Nr 60010 in the .pdf link (page) is the roller in the shop link - i.e. type 501, 90mm diameter wheel
