Passat Flywheel DSG

    I need to replace flywheel in my passat but it's automatic so I would have presumed it would be cheaper than manual which needs clutch and flywheel.
    A local garage in Galway quoted 1100 euro. Id hate to ask main VW dealer.

    Is this price average does anybody know?

    Probably right for a main dealer (I too had a DSG Passat - great car), but you should be able to get it down to 6/700 through a decent independent.

    Don't know if you'd want to make the trek, but a lot of people here (myself included) use George Dalton in Portlaoise for VW/Audi stuff and he's very good.. he's also a poster here.
