I have a small flock which are due to lamb 20th March. They are in fairly good condition and on a fairly exposed hill and getting silage, there is no grass available. I am wondering with this bad weather should i start feeding them a little rolled oat's to keep their condition?. I am worried that if i start and the weather improve's in a couple of week's i won't be able to stop feeding them or they will loose condition. I usually start feeding 4 week's before lambing.
My usual feed pre-lambing is rolled oat's with around 20% soya bean meal and mineral bucket's, i find this very good. Yellow lamb's and lot's of milk etc.
