Freelander fix or scrap

I have an '02 freelander 1.8L petrol. It needs new suspension, the engine was misfiring and it doesn't start anymore. I bought it for €1,700 off done deal last year without a warranty and it's been sitting in my driveway since. If it could be fixed for a grand or so I'd probably opt to fix it. Otherwise I'll need to scrap it and buy something else. Any advice on making that choice would be very welcome. Any advice as to what it's worth for scrap would also be useful. Thanks.
