Paying for Tooth extraction

Does anyone know if with a tooth extraction do I have to pay it upfront or is a bill sent out. Reason why I ask is last week I went to dentist for a pain in my tooth which is missing a quarter of tooth. Nerve is damaged but root canal and cap will fix it. I don't have the money so I said I'd think about it.
I am in a hell of a lot of pain since last week so I'm just going to have it removed. Problem is I dot get paid until Friday. Do they send a bill? I won't be able to stand this pain for another two days

depends on the dentist, I'd say.
unless they know you very well, I don't think they'd be trusting enough to send you out the bill and hope that you'll pay. so I'd say while it depends on the dentist, i say you'll have to pay there and then

Wonder if I took let's say my passport or licence with me would they hold onto it till Friday till I paid. Do you think they'd go for that?

Herself is giving me money to get it done( hate getting loan) but if I had to go through another day of this is it'd be easier to just shoot me. Pain has spread to the right side of my face

Generally its pay on the day in most places for once off treatment like an extraction. Sure enough most places do payment plans for treatment like braces or implants.
I've had patients who promise me their first born child while in pain, once the pain is gone its a different story and the esb and gas are the priority then....
Giving a passport is useless, what if you can't pay and need your passport to travel, can I legally hold that from you???!!
Giving credit and laser card numbers is also useless. I have previously had consent to charge a patient's card a month after the treatment only for the patient to withdraw consent before the payment, another time the card was maxed out....
If you are good for it, then one of your family or friends or your bank will know that you are good for it and give you the money. A dentist who is a stranger to you can not tell this and is taking a risk...

    Good luck with the treatment,
    OS

All good. My lip is hanging off me but tooth is out and I'm pain free right now.
Mouth is still filling with some blood but I'm hoping that's normal

Roll up some kitchen roll, wet it in cold water and clamp down on it for 20 mins, repeat as necessary.

Be sure to contact the treating dentist is this continues.

My face has only now stoppe being numb and I've just had a bowl of soup. I noticed that where my tooth was is just a black hole basically.
    Is this normal?
