OK, so a relative of mine (lives in ireland) has inherited an irish property along with his 3 siblings who live seperately in Australia, Canada & Sweden.

They intend to rent out this property but don't know how this works with the tax system here.

    Anyone got any information?

Get an irish agent to collect the rent. Avoids witholding tax issues

I think ideally they want someone to collect rent, look after repairs, look after tax filing and distribute the income between them. Is this what an agent does?
