    Hey all,

LennyMc, Wav1 and I are organising the annual Kevin King spin, which we never got to do last year.

Short notice but it's gonna happen (hail, rain or snow!) on February 14th, departing just outside Drogheda Town that morning, leaving plenty of time to pick up a bunch of flowers on the way home!

Will be kept to a shortish distance of 40-60km and a handy pace to cater for the large number of beginner leisure cyclists in the area.

Due to the short time left the facilities/goodies will be kept to a minimum, reflected in the price which will be the cheapest you'll see all year!

More details to follow but we'd love to see the 'usual suspects', and anyone else here, show their interest in what will be a very casual and friendly spin with fellow cyclists.....

    Paddy.

I'll be there. I'm sure Maxi and the rest of our crew will also partake.

Great stuff, fair play.....just as long as you are able to keep you and the much anticipated new arrival to the very pedestrian pace E!!!

    Hey,

Bit more info on this spin we are 'hatching'..
Sign on from 9.30am, rolling out at 10am.
Start and finish is at the gates to Drogheda port, at the end of Merchants Quay Drogheda.
Plenty of paid parking along there, alternatively very cheap and generally secure parking also available across the river at Scotch Hall Shopping Centre/The D Hotel (herself or himself can spend a few hours shopping while you enjoy your spin!)
    • Distance 40K
    • Entry fee only 10 euro (bring your CI licence number)
    • All proceeds will be shared by St John's Ambulance Brigade and Drogheda & District Support for Older People (DDS4OP)
This will be a social spin, at a leisurely pace with support from lead and rear cars, motorbike, and St Johns Ambulance.
We have very limited sign-on or reception facilities so the best we can do will be a bar or 2 on the fly, no sit doen meal this time round!

    Thanks for the support folks.

(If the route doesn't display properly you can rest assured its a nice flat route!)

Is it dearer if you don't have a licence?

Well done Padjo5,Lennymc,and Jackie on a job well done,on a maiden voyage as organisers.Nice weather and a good crew and a few quid raised for 2 charities close to the club..Delighted it went well in memory of a gent who kept things together at the club in very difficult and very different times than today.
