    Hey Peps,

So I did an interview for an IT role in the midlands (where I'm from) last Wednesday.

The interview went really well and the company (>200 employees) said they would get back to me on Monday or Tuesday (Today).

I got a phone call from one of the people who interviewed me, He said they have not made their decision yet as they still have 2 more interviews to do.
He also said I done very well in my interview and they would have a decision hopefully by next week.

He said he was calling to keep me in the loop.

So what do you reckon, was he just been sound and probably gave everyone that call or is he keeping me sweet.

Either it's torture waiting on answer isn't it.

BTW I'm already working in Dublin but I live in the midlands and this role would make a big difference to me work/life balance.

From the fact he rang you back to keep you in the loop would mean to me that you are a leading candidate for the position - they're just going through the remaining applications/interviews.

Unless someone equally good/better trumps you in their two remaining interviews I'd imagine you're close to getting the gig :)

at least they are keeping you in the loop, that is a positive sign anyway

    Just an update on this,

So I got a call yesterday (2 weeks later) and they said to me that my application has been moved to the next level, which is reference checking and then a medical after which a decision will be made.

One of my referrers (to his credit) emailed me that he got a phone call yesterday in relation to this and said he sang my praises.

So what do you guys reckon, do I have the job or would they do this with more than 1 candidate

That sounds v positive to me!
I would hope once a medical is arranged that you pretty much have the job.
Fingers crossed and best of luck!
(and don't pre-emptively celebrate with any dodgy drugs! :D)

Medical means you have the job. No company would go tot hat expense unless you had it.

    Hey Pep's,

Just to fill you all in, had a medical yesterday and got offered the Job today.
A little pay rise but I will now get back at least 3 hours a day so happy days.

    Thanks for your advice

    Congrats.

I know the feeling, unfortunately for me the offer I wanted didn't come through!
