Does anyone know of any garages in Dublin that have the necessary equipment to check the run out on brake discs or the hub?

I've checked with a main Nissan dealer and they don't have one...!

Go to a decent engineering place and get it checked.

Ford dealers have them we had a recall a while back which needed to measure the end float on rear axle.

Chances are though nowhere would bother measuring runout on discs though they are fairly cheap so they are just replaced.

You can get them fairly cheap on ebay/amazon about €30 for one with magnetic base and a little stand or about €70 for the one with the floating arm that can lock in any position...

If you're having trouble with braking vibration you could try taking everything apart and get all mating surfaces immaculately clean and try re-bed the brakes.

    What exactly is your problem?

Is it a repeat of the same problem you had before on the Z?

Yep it's the same issue - hasn't fully gone away although not too bad since I've had them skimmed. If I can measure the hub run out with the disc off I'll know fairly quickly.

Thanks for the tips I might just pick one up from ebay.
