    Howdy folks,

Looking to plan a stag in Newcastle sometime in the middle of the year.

There's likely 20 of us travelling.

Any advice on where to stay/ how to book it? Are hotels usually a bit cagey with block bookings?

Been on 2 stags to Newcastle. Stayed in Jurys Inn both times. Very central, next to Centre and train station.
It's fiull of stags and hens so there's no issue there

I went to Newcastle to visit a friend.

Why you would go there on purpose not to visit someone is beyond me :)

Although if the aim is to get hammered then I suppose it meets your requirements.

Newcastle is a great town for a stag weekend. Just back from my second one there and it fits the bill perfectly: friendly people, good value in the pubs & clubs and a decent selection of both. Not great on the electronic music front I found but it's a stag do at the end of the day so it's really just the craic you make within the group that counts.

Went to Berlin and Lisbon on stags and while they are both fantastic cities to visit, I would rather do it in a very small group or with the missus, not set up for stags and not the least bit interested in accommodating the type of messing that will probably go on.
