Hi, i have a pretty bad condensation problem in my Attic, now it is really only on the north east area of my attic above the two front bedrooms but the water beads forming on the felt are dripping down on to a taurpaulin sheet i put up and creating small puddles.
I need to get more ventilation in the attic & have rang a few roofers & have been told that i need more vents in the facia's by one & that i need 2 vented tiles @ a cost of 150 euro each supplied & fitted by another.
Just wondering if anyone can shine a light on my best option, i dont mind paying if it works & gets rid of the problem, cheers

Find and reduce the source of the moisture first.
You shouldn't have so much moisture rising from your living areas.
Are you sure there is no leak in the roof?

Vent tiles may help, but its too drastic an option, that may not be a solution at all.

If you can't you see down into the facia's from the attic -then there's not enough air gap, so soffit vents here may not be effective, but if you have sufficient air gap, then its the easiest thing to just drill some holes in the soffits.

How much existing insulation have you?
How big is the cold water tank?
    Is it covered?
Any extractor fans venting into roof space?
How badly fitting is the attic hatch?

AS noted earlier find the air source first

I've drilled holes in the area at front of the house, why is it drastic to put a vented tile??

I did update some of the insulation ,(patched it up more like) not sure excact size of tank but approx 1 metre in length, no its not covered & the door to attic would not be the best as it fell down at stage and I put it back up myself.the affected area is quite close to the door too!!!!
