    hi
i am getting a longer stem, sent from canyon, for my endurace.
is it just a matter of removing the face plate dropping the bars then removing the 2 bolts on the steerer and swapping, i have a good quality torque wrench from Rose
there is no cap/bolt on the canyon

    any advice welcome

I've got one, it's a brand new 100mm Ritchey axis stem taken from a Canyon.
Note that the diameter on this one is standard inch and an eighth not inch and a quarter.

Yea, I changed one last week. It was very straight forward. The bike came with a 110 stem. After I got a bike fit, they recommended a 100, so I got it exchanged with Canyon for free. I sent the old one back. They said they normally only allow free exchange within 30 days, this was about 6 weeks later so happy enough.

Mine's a 100mm - I'll double check the dimensions later and post back
