Entrance Pillars - Red Brick

Slightly unusual query - my house has two solid concrete pillars(grey) at entrance to driveway. Most other houses on road have red brick pillars.

If I was considering changing to red brick, would red brick cladding to existing pilars be a more practical and cost effective solution than knocking existing Pilar's and rebuilding from scratch? Is such cladding a solution that would last?

    Any help appreciated.

Much cheaper to clad, but probably will not last as long.
