    Hi Guys
I would be grateful if anyone could offer me any advice on this, I have a 07 vw caddy van and while driving at low speed i notice a hollow rattle at times coming from underneath at the rear, has anyone any ideas what this may be or how much it may cost to repair.
    Thanks a mil.

Just a quess,.. Check the aluminum heat shield between the exhaust and chasis/floor?!. May have come loose and basically can be repaired at no cost, by yourself of course 😊.

Also check exhaust, hollow sound, sounds like end pipe knocking of bracket..

Get underneath and pull at things until you hear a rattle (don't drive car for a while (so exhaust is cold).
Make sure car will not be able to move (block the wheels).

The hollow noise I hear is coming from around both back wheels area.????

I have a VW Touran same chassis as Caddy. I had a noise few months back, stone trapped in the metal shield that sits in front of the breaks. Took the wheel out and fished it out. Maybe it's the same but for me the sound was like a rattle and more prevalent when turning.

edit - just saw you said both back wheels, which makes my issue unlikely. Hopefully one of the other lads has an idea.

    Thanks MAJJ

It seems to be there the whole time, more noticeable when driving on an uneven surface or small pot hole etc.
    Thanks for your reply .
