Anyone here wanna recommend a mixer in the €300-€500 range? Pioneer 900 Nexus is the dream but times are tight!

What features are you looking for ? e.g. how many Channels / Effects / Midi / Soundcard etc ....

Ecler or Allen & Heath if you want durable, tank-like builds with great sound.

Pioneer if you play out a fair bit and you need to have your home setup's gain structure and fader curves to be as similar to a club environment as possible.

Avoid anything else tbh, you will only be buying again in 18 months.

    +1 on the Ecler.

The Nuo 2.0 is only €359 on Thomann. It's a stripped-down, analogue mixer, offering gorgeous sound and superior build quality. The mid range EQ is quite wide, and that may or may not suit your playing style. But other than that I wholeheartedley recommend it. I have a Nuo 4.0, which is the exact same only it's a four channel model. Apart from my Technics, it's the best money I've ever spent.

Your dream mixer is a Nexus, so you'll probably think the Nuo 2.0 is too basic. But I urge you to look beyond that that at this stage. Concentrate on sound and build quality. They are the most important factors, especially at this price range. Honestly, I cannot believe an analogue mixer with such good quality can be had for that price. When I first started buying equipment all that was available in that price range was Gemini and Numark mixers loaded with gimmicks.

There's a Xone 22 on Adverts.ie for €220. These sound great, and have a slimmed down version of A&H's celebrated filter. However, this particular model had some build quality issues. Check out some of the articles written about it online. A lot of people bought units that ultimately failed, but there's many more people that bought them and had no problems whatsoever. So it's a bit of a lottery, but it's worth considering.

Here's a solid review of the Nuo 2.0.

I have one at home, no problems with it at all, nice for home mixing and good sound at the price
