Hi is it ok to place a image of a coin I own to ask if it is a fake.

I want to sell it, but don't want to mislead anyone.

Not a very expensive coin but not the point.

Hi, yes, you can place an image of the coin to get opinions on it here. You can't sell it here on thread but you can put it up on sites like adverts.ie and then post a link to your for sale ad here.

    Thanks

Actually the one of mine was sorted, but I will take this opportunity to ask opinion on this gun money.

I have zero knowledge of these coins, I have been offered this

first question is, does it appear genuine, are there known fakes of these old Irish coins.

I don't recall ever seeing fakes of Irish Gun Money, but to determine a fake you really need to have the coin in hand to be sure as you can't always tell from a photo. However I reckon you're safe enough with this one, looks real to me.

Missed out on that as too much money, well so I thought.
Do these coins fetch good money? Would one like above be €100 +
I like the look of them and the history is fascinating, I will have to do some more research and see how much the cheaper end go for.

Depends on the type and condition. There's different denominations and dates or more so Months in this instance, some scarcer than others. But no, I can't say I'd pay 100+ Euro for the one you posted.
