Why do people fear or hate Jews ?

i could never understand the hostility towards jews either, does it really stem from the whole "christ crucifixion" thingy or is there other historical reasons??

because the jews i've encountered have been amongst the most unassuming people i've ever met

Seems something very bandwagon-ish about claiming to hate Jews it all right.
Some people might dislike Jews because of disagreeing with Israel's policy on Palestine (which is obviously ludicrous but that is probably the main reason).

I agree, Jews I met over the years both in Ireland and abroad were some of the nicest people encountered.

For that reason I cannot understand why people would dislike them.

IMO, better not to engage in any form - gives the post legitimacy, and it's not like they can be reasoned with. For the phrase "pretty much all the world banking" alone, it doesn't deserve acknowledgement.

I've met a few, but it's harder to distinguish them without their badges

Worked with a few in a major tech company and they were all sound and good fun. Never understood the hatred towards thrm, I take it a lot of SF/IRA types who side with Palestinians just hate them for that reason.
