I didn't see country file but but the longhorns are smashing looking cattle . I think there might be a herd in the north maybe . I'd say if you can find a website for the breed and get a few numbers you won't be long finding what you want .

I've seen them on The Farming Forum, fantastic looking animals. Could be worth an ask there also.

I think he trades as Forthill Farm. He has a wide variety of rare breeds in cattle sheep and pigs.

I saw them on Countryfile. Smashing looking cattle alright. Very square and hardy looking.

Did any of ye come across the article about Heck cattle? They were bred originally by Hitler's scientist, the ones around now are pure mad. A man in England bought a few and had to get most of them slaughtered because they attacked anyone. It's well worth googling them - will make you thankful for what most of us have to deal with.

No its a longhorn too, hed a full pen of weanlings, also belties, i never really liked the belties but have to say theres something about them that gave me a lot more respect for the breed. They actually cross extremely well with holsteins and threw some great calves.
