Anyone have an recommendations for hair that's getting knotty? It's always been knotty at the nape of my neck underneath the hair if you know what I mean. It's now getting knotty at the sides etc.
I have the tangle teaser. but whatever I seem to do it doesn't help much.
    thanks

I have this problem if I wear scarves a lot, or jumpers with high necks that my hair comes into contact with at the nape. The only solution I've found is to keep my hair out of the way as much as possible, a simple ponytail will do. Nothing complicated!

Having said that, the problem used to be a lot worse before I started deep-conditioning my hair on a regular basis. Every 3 or 4 days I'll use Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle in the shower, and my hair is in much better shape for it. Might be worth a try, if it's something you don't already do.

    Thanks JoKettle.

Yes I've used the deep conditioner a few times and use Morocoon Oil too. I suppose I should go back to trying that conditioner again. Thanks for the tip!

    Is your hair dyed/highlighted?

Cos mine is and I find it gets tangled very quickly and actually turns into balls of knots.

I also use a tangle teaser brush which is great on both wet and dry hair.
All I do to minimise the issue is thoroughly brush my hair out with the tangle brush before shampooing.

Then when it's wet, use the tangle brush again and then blow-dry.
Still happens when my hair's dry though!

A leave-in spray conditioner helps definitely. And Moroccan oil is amazing (and I love the smell)- it's dear enough but a little goes a long way- I've had my bottle of it for 6 months now.

Also, tie up your hair going to bed. If you leave it down it's more likely to get knotted when you're lying down, particularly if you tend to toss and turn in your sleep.

I've started using Uniq10 and find it great for detangling hair. I've been using it since christmas and can definately see benefits- my hair even feels much thicker.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Yes, I got a few highlights recently and was thinking they might have made it worse but friends who have way more highlights than me don't seem to have the same problem. I was tying my hair up some nights but again didn't know if that made it worse!
I guess I'll have to be more vigilant with brushing it! thanks
