Anyone managed to get this going well without using the RBA base (they're out of stock everywhere I can see)?

I'm having nothing but problems atm. It seems like the centre post of the atty is too narrow or too closed in in the base and not enough air gets to the coil? So many dry hits with the stock coil I end up putting it away. I tried the bvc fix but I ended up with 1) it still running way too hot for me (same centre post not giving enough air?) and 2) waking up to a pool of juice under the device after the full tank leaked out the airhole (it was 80 pg but still, not pleasant).

Anyone found/seen a workaround for it? It looks like the RBA base has a hole drilled directly under the coil area, can you do this to the supplied base does anyone know or would the connection not be made then?

Otherwise its a great device, really want to get a workable set-up going.

I had minor dry hits with the BVC but no leaking at all...

I think the RBA base has a hole at the bottom since it blocks the side air hole but I'm not 100% sure. I'd recommend giving the RBA base a try though, allegedly it's worth it... I'm waiting for mine to arrive.

Yeah, only got flooding with the BVC in fairness, stuck a stock coil in and no problems. They just don't compare to a BVC in a nautilus for me though, so don't use it much. Will snap an RBA base up when they're back again.

Will be a great device if I can get it right, still surprised at how small it is!

I tried the Aspire BVC coil & got dry hits passed 8w,the stock coil is very good but the RBA Base is fantastic,I used the coil & wick that was installed, wicks great & no dry hits, the airflow is pretty good but there is only one setting,I have tried different drip tips with different size bores & it works a treat,on the egrip,I like to do mouth to lung hits,so I use the first version of the Kayfun drip tip,it has a good & narrow bore.
Using the RBA for over a week now & no leaks.

There is an adapter for the RBA coming soon,so we can dry burn the coil & check the Ohms.

Still waiting for the RBA base so tried to stick another bvc in without swapping over the centre pins this time.

Took a snips, I've no other tools, and cut the stock bvc pin about 2/3rds the way up the circular hollow in the pin. The base doesn't fit flush but stands straight and no wobble. Best of all it vapes like a champ. Now have the airflow way more open, the power way up (never know what on this device tbh, about 4/5 clicks up anyway but it would take way more) and no popping or dry hits. No leaks yet, but early days. Sweet.
