    Can parents transfer a site (land) to a son without paying tax or capital gains on it...is the parent's or son liable for any tax...thanks

    Speak to a tax advisor as there is a way to transfer farmland tax free

    There are conditions where the land being transferred for agricultural purposes can avail of CGT reductions, otherwise tax conditions apply.
    Best to talk to a tax accountant that deals with these sort of things.
