I asked www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com if www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com was down and it said "If you can see this page and still think we're down, it's just you."

Any chance you use Hola or other VPNs?
It can conflict sometimes if you do.

    Hello 2004!!!!!!

I like it, they actually have reasonable privacy policies vs Google's "we own every email you send or receive and can do what we like with it"

Still use Hotmail/Outlook, find it grand.

Regarding the 2004 comment, do people switch email accounts due to popularity/image reasons like a fashion accessories?

Yes, I was bullied into it in school. I genuinely got abuse for not using google search or gmail. I've been asked by people in the Software Engineering industry why I'm not using gmail like I'm some sort of alien. I do have a gmail account but I only use it for websites that I have never used before and am unsure of, spam essentially, it has a great spam filter.

    Hello 2004!!!!!!

Can you give us three reasons why email providers in 2014 are any better than those that were available in 2004?

    Just three.

    Just three.

    Easy

    Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy more Storage
Filtering out social/promotional emails into seperate folders
    Better spam detection.

    Anything else you need answering?

oceanfree.net was my first email account back in '99. It was awful!

Gave Hotmail and Yahoo ago, hated them.

    I unashamedly love Gmail.

I was on email.com from 94 to 97. It was a good early mail box provider but then in 97 your inbox became over run with spam.
Moved to Hotmail in 97 and have not seen a good reason to move again.

Spam filter set to exclusive keeps all the junk where it should be.
I have never exceeded 3% of allowed storage.
    It works.

I love my Hotmail. Well, I loved it when it was Hotmail, it's less good as Outlook but still way better than Gmail IMO.

    Up and running since 1997.
