Just wonderin if you can get a medical card if you have a chronic desease like anaemia. I have a full time job but my partner is receiving jobseekers allowance so I'm not sure if I can get that only based on income. But I have severe anaemia and need to have regular bood tests done. I know my friend gets that because he has asthma so I'm wonderin is it the same for anaemia?

It depends on how much 'financial hardship' your chronic illness is causing you per month really. If it is a huge amount of money, then you might have a chance in getting a discretionary card

I also have a question regarding medical cards. A friend of mine has chromes disease and had her medical card taken from her. She has been fighting since to receive it back.
I have a medical card, and to be honest I should not have one.
I know it's a long shot, but is there a way I can just give her my medical card subject to informing their headquarters, or is there a way round it at all? Any help would be very helpful.
