Charity Buckets in Shops Enquiry

I was just wondering if it was possible to get a charity bucket at the tills in certain stores such as Centra, Spar, Supervalu etc to fundraise. Would they allow me to do this and if so how do you go about getting permission from whoever to place your bucket at their till.

Also if you know any other stores that will allow this type of fundraising, please share.

(If i have posted this in the wrong thread, please move it to a more suitable one mod)

I'd say just ask the store manager as they'll be the one with the info you need, can't imagine them being hostile. If they have a policy of not allowing it then they'll tell you straight out.

You're just going to get sarcastic replies here OP. Ignore them.

You'll have to register as a charity first.

Shouldn't be difficult. They'll let any chancer have a go so long as you say it's for a good cause.

Talk to the manager. Seeing the crap they let pack bags in some shops im sure you would have no problem.

It's not my own charity. I'm part of a team that are going abroad in the summer to volunteer and I was wondering if this is one way to fundraise

Some chain stores will say that they have thier own preferred charities, is it a local charity or nationwide?
Nationwide would probably need to go to a corporate level in likes of SuperValu, tesco etc.

In this case I'd say just bag-pack. Much easier to organise with the manager.

It's a nationwide charity. Sorry I don't want to say the name because I feel uncomfortable giving out some personal info about myself and what I am doing online :o

For large retailers, these decisions would not be made at store level. Generally charities are chosen for the year by headquarters quite a while in advance.

Go to a corporate level so, they'd have people to deal with your charity, I know my company picks a different charity to sponsor each year.
Better get in quickly if January is change over time for company sponsorship.
    Best of luck.
