Im looking for a cheap runaround to take me to college, ive been stung on donedeal before so im looking to buy off a dealer. Ive googled Limerick car dealers and all the dealers around the city sell cars outside my budget. Looking to spend around 2-3, max 4k.
    Thanks

Tbh, at that end of the market you're mainly looking at Portakabin outfits that will give you no more comeback than a private sale.
The key is to do your checks before buying and getting a mechanic to look over the car first.

Very little value or comeback in buying from dealers in that price range. The majority of stuff from dealers that will be in that price range will have been trade-ins that the previous owners just wanted rid of. Dealers then tend to spend very little on turning them around for resale to get any sort of profit from them.

Better off concentrating on the private sale market and specifically a make and model that suits your needs rather than going to a dealer to see what they have.

There is a good lad in ardpatrick called Dave O'Sullivan. I got the avensis from him. He has a very good reputation.
