My air bag light is on . I ran a scan and it showed low voltage . I reset the code . The seat inca would not turn over . I wiggled the white part of the ignition switch and the van turned over byt the air bag light stayed on .

Are these barrels hard to replace ? My mate said they are a nightmare

I think you are barking up the wrong tree there, what did you use to scan it?

Its my mate scanner . About 500 euros worth . He said the ignition switch can be faulty and cause the voltage to drop to the aurbag and this gives a light . We reset it last year fir the DOE and it stayed off for six months .

But this time it reset and the van wont start and we fiddled with the white ugniton switch and then it started but the aurbag light came on . It also took about 30 minutes for the scan to take place .

We used a MAXIDIAG ELITE .

anyway . I disassembled the ECU and scrubbed the circuit board with a toothbrush and some IPA ALCOHOL .

then ran another scan and cleared fault and BINGO .
