Hi guys, I lost my garda age card last weekend and but was thinking of going out tomorrow.

I have a one of the old paper divers licences and was wondering would it work as ID?

I am 20 and 6ft3 but look quite young do you think it would work or should I wait for a new age card?

It's not really a legal question.

There is no obligation for a doorman to accept a drivers licence as ID, but there is no reason why they can't. Entirely up to them.

I was not aware that a license was required to be a diver :D

In addition to what 234 says, there's no obligation on any establishment to let anyone in, no matter what documents they have (except obviously Gardaí or others with a valid warrant.)

I've a Helmsman's Cert from when I borrowed a yacht a few years back on holiday, wonder if I could use that, not that anyone asks me for ID these days.

I read it as drivers licence but I can't imagine it is, or is the OPs given it could be a maximum of 3 years old.

Ah, what I wouldn't give to have this issue again :pac:
