    You can't. That is the sole purpose of PDF.

    On some you can copy text from it and then paste somewhere else. You could also take a screenshot.

    You can edit them with this https://www.acrobat.com/en_us/free-trial-download.htm

    Yes you can. Acrobat X or XI Pro will convert PDF to lots if different formats including Word.
    If its a protected PDF file however then it is not normally possible unless you get the author to give you the original unprotected PDF.

    Edit: there are lots if free online tools that will convert PDF to word also. There are even android and iPhone apps for it.
