If the handbrake light flashes while driving and sometimes it might not even go off when released. And also the green brake oil is full. Other than the switch what else can cause this to flash please help

Check your handbrake cables havn't got damaged or pinched with the hitch rods, one of my cables got pinched and wont let the handbrake down fully which makes the alarm sound . I have an 8340, hope this helps

Today I learnt that if you disconnect the switch and then see will it come one . I though I was going well so I turned it off and had a look at the brake fluid level and this was fine. So I decided to try it again this time it would not go off so I went to the reservoir can and disconnected one of the wires and this stopped it so if it's not the switch. Do you think it's the cap anyone

Forgive my butting in, but has the fluid level in the reservoirs got anything to do with the handbrake?

Its more likely a wire with a break in the wiring insulation, causing it to earth against the tractor body somewhere, and thus signal a "low brake fluid" warning light.

    What model New Holland?
