    looking to get the following and was hoping to get it sanity checked etc
    any recommendations/ alternative suggestions welcomed


    1> What is your budget? >€700 (hopefully)
    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? desktop running VMs etc/casual gaming

    Looks nice, though you can drop the Z97 motherboard if you're not planning on picking up a K SKU CPU.

    Any suggestions for an alternate motherboard?

    I went with Gigabyte GA-Z97M-D3H thinking it might be a better quality hence cause less issues with parts interchangeability but this is purely a guess

    BTW Great forum , it helped me a lot to pick parts!
